Getting started

Turn on a data layer

4 min read
A data layer enriches your companies with an optional public dataset, so you make better-informed decisions about who to contact and when. Here you will switch one on and see what changes.

Before you start

You need administrator access to manage add-ons. The data layers themselves are free to switch on and off.

Open the add-ons marketplace

Go to Settings, then Add-ons. Each card is an optional capability you can switch on. The data layers here are free.

CQC adds live care ratings, inspections and regulatory signals to your companies. Companies House adds filings, financials and people with significant control, plus a market monitor.

The Add-ons page listing free data layers: CQC Regulatory, Companies House, Telesales and Align, each with a toggle.

Find a data layer that is switched off

A card with a grey toggle and no Active badge is switched off. Nothing from that dataset appears anywhere in the app while it is off.

Switch it on

Click the toggle. OroMiQ briefly refreshes so the change takes effect everywhere, and the card shows an Active badge.

Note

Data layers are per-organisation and fully reversible. Switch one off at any time from the same page, and its data disappears from view again.

See what changes

A new group appears in your navigation for the data layer (here, Companies House with its Market Monitor). Its extra fields and insights also start showing on your company records, so your team sees the enrichment wherever it is useful.
