Getting started

Make your first call in the calling cockpit

4 min read
Every company’s record is your cockpit for working it, including logging calls. Here you will place a call, record the outcome, and line up your next step, all in a couple of minutes.

Before you start

You need a company in OroMiQ to call. If you have not added one yet, follow Add your contacts and companies first.

OroMiQ logs calls, it does not dial

OroMiQ does not connect to a phone system or dial for you. You place the call on your own phone, then record what happened here so the history stays complete.

Open a company and start a call

Open the company you want to call. In the top-right of its record, click Quick Actions, then Log call.

A company record with the Quick Actions menu open, showing the Log call option.

Log the call and its outcome

On the Call tab, choose an Outcome (for example Answered, No answer or Voicemail), then write a short Summary of what was said.

Tick Also schedule a follow-up after saving to line up your next step, then click Save.

The Log Activity dialog on the Call tab, with an outcome of Answered and a short summary of the conversation.

See it on the timeline

Your call now appears on the company’s Activity timeline, and Last contact updates to just now. Anyone on your team can see the history at a glance.

To keep working a call list, log the outcome, schedule the follow-up, and move on to the next company from your Pipeline.

Working at volume?

The optional Telesales data layer adds a dedicated calling workspace with prioritised call lists, agent worklists and a next-call flow for outbound sales teams. See Turn on a data layer.
